Lansing Firefighters Endorse Peter Spadafore for Lansing City Council Bid

Former Lansing School District Board President Peter Spadafore announced today he has received the endorsement of Lansing Firefighters Local 421, a critical union nod as his campaign enters its final full month.

“We feel strongly that Peter Spadafore is the ideal candidate to ensure our city’s public safety needs are met adequately by Lansing’s leaders,” said Eric Weber, Lansing Firefighters Local 421 President. “We’re comfortable with Peter’s leadership style and believe he is the kind of candidate who will bring people to the table, listen to their concerns, and integrate their feedback into thoughtful public policy.”

Spadafore says he will make Lansing’s firefighters and first responders a top priority while he serves on Lansing’s City Council.

“I’m humbled by the support of Lansing’s firefighters today,” Spadafore said. “When elected to City Council, my job is to ensure that government works for them so they can continue to focus on protecting and serving our city’s residents. I’ve been a long-time supporter of our firefighters and first responders and intend to be an advocate for them when elected to the Lansing City Council.”
