Lansing City Council candidate Peter Spadafore reported today that he has received the endorsement of Ingham County Commissioner Sarah Anthony, who represents the county’s third district and currently serves as chairperson of the board.
“As the former President of the Lansing School Board, Peter demonstrated cooperative leadership and a strong commitment to issues that matter to the Lansing community,” Anthony said. “Our area has greatly benefitted from the results of his hard work and I look forward to positive changes he will bring as a Lansing’s next City Council member.”
Spadafore, who is running for an at-large seat on the Lansing City Council has been a longtime resident of the area. Peter was previously elected President of the Lansing School Board and currently serves as the Secretary. He works as Associate Executive Director for Government Relations for the Michigan Association of School Administrators. Peter is a graduate of James Madison College at Michigan State University where he studied Social Relations and Policy with an emphasis on education policy.
“It is a great privilege to have earned the endorsement of someone who has demonstrated immense leadership in working to improve Ingham County,” Spadafore said. “If elected, I am committed to working with local officials in Lansing and the surrounding areas to ensure the entire region prospers.”
